History of The Castle Inn
'Lewis Castle' was built in the 1930s as a private residence by local businessman Bill Lewis and his wife Pauline. It is believed that local builder Howard McLaughlin was the main carpenter and was responsible for the cabinetry and woodwork that is original to the structure. Billy Taylor, another local craftsman, is credited with the river rock stonework, much of which was collected by the Lewis family. Read More
